January is FINALLY over! February flew by, but it was wonderful while it lasted! Literally went from snow mageddon to wanting to walk home from school it was so gorgeous outside! Ellis comes with me to pick Shep up from school everyday to 1. get out of the house and 2. say hi to Grace!
Everywhere else in McKinney was thawed except our driveway, I swear, because of the direction of the sun facing our house. It was so annoying and so hard to park in the garage.

Adam had a “work” trip to Arizona and got to go the Waste Management golf tournament. David got to join when a “client” backed out last minute!

I’m in awe of Ellis and her crocheting skills. She crocheted these shorts without a guide or template, just a vision!

For this fun Friday Ellis chose to bring lunch to Shep! Love their bond!

Then we were off to Hobby Lobby for more yarn and Ellis found these adorable bows!!
Brooks couldn’t convince any of his lame friends to go to the middle school dance with him, but he was adamant that he wanted to go, and he wanted to dress nice! I’m so dang proud of his independence and confidence and pray he never loses it!

Gosh I love this handsome gentleman more than words!

He convinced three of his friends to tag along after all! He even loaned them money to buy their tickets at lunch that same day!

Hunter, Henry, Nolan, and Brooks looking dapper!

Tough guys!

Walking up to their very first middle school dance!
Immediately found friends!

Well they didn’t dance with any girls, but they said they still had fun!

Ellis and Grace decided they were too old for the Daddy/daughter dance this year, but they still wanted to have a special night out with their Daddy’s!

Oh my heart!

They went to a fancy steak house and this was the one and only blurry picture Adam took, lol

While the daddy’s and daughter’s are away the mommy’s and son’s will play!

Brooks was the Ping Pong King!
Took the boys to this fun putt putt golf course called “Pop Stroke” for games and dinner!

Ginormous string cheese!

Love my boys!

Nice job boys!
Connor looking for the ball he threw in the bush when he got mad in the above video, lol

Boys were done being serious and just wanted to have fun, hahaha…

Shep was the only one that got a hole in one!!!

I think there’s something on your face, Shep??

Super Bowl party at the Plum’s!

A Honor Roll again for this smarty pants!

Poor buddy was home sick from school for a few days. The last day he was fine, but I couldn’t send him back to school because he wasn’t fever free for 24 hours yet, so we made a fun day of it instead! We finally checked out this YouTubers YoNuts (fried frozen yogurt inside a donut) shop right by our house! WAAAAYYYY too much sugar, but super yummy!

GALentines lunch with my favorites!

Dallas Open in Frisco for Anne Marie’s birthday with my goofball hubby!

I’ve never been to a professional tennis match before. It was so much fun!

We dressed the part, lol!

My friends are so much fun!

On this addition of “Fun Friday” Ellis wanted to go thrifting! We scored some Lululemon and Free People loot for a third of the price!

Then she helped me volunteer at Shep’s school Valentine’s Party!

Totally forgot to take a picture of the Valentines basket Ellis…ummm, I mean Shep, made for Grace, but here is the sweet gift Grace gave to him! So not ready for all of this silliness, but also secretly loving it, lol.

Valentines Day fell on a Saturday this year and all the kids wanted to come downstairs together like it was Christmas morning, it was so cute!

Saturday afternoon we headed to Fort Worth to meet up with the Stroems and Aunt Kelly for Levi’s gymnastics meet! His meet wasn’t until Sunday, but it was at 8am, so we got a hotel for Saturday night!

This was our awesome view of downtown Fort Worth from our hotel room!

Levi getting a little Pommel Horse practice in at the hotel!
We went down to the Stockyards for dinner. I just love this area!
I ❤️ Texas!

The sunset was gorgeous!

We got up bright and early to cheer on Levi!

First up was high bar!

Pommel Horse

Floor!
Cheering squad!

Last event was vault, and Levi totally killed it!
Levi wracked up on medals!

Levi did so great and he was so fun to watch!!

Time to say our goodbyes and this guy was being a goofball!

I wonder where he gets it from, lol

It’s not everyday that the 6 of these guys play “nicely” together (all 3 Dimmick’s and all 3 Stolarski’s), so when they do I have to document it!

They were all playing together because they just finished filming part 2 of a scary movie Brooks directed. All the boys were in Part 1 and the girls got to be in Part 2. I seriously have no idea how he even knows how to do all of this stuff, but he whips it out like it’s nothing. It’s freaking hilarious and I LOVE how they all got along and worked together in filming it!
Part 1 (a little long, but totally worth it)
Part 2
Part 3 will be coming soon and I CANNOT wait!
Day 1 of Ellis’ infusion for February went great! We skipped a day in between and avoided sugar again, but apparently we didn’t avoid sugar for long enough. Ellis had her second dose on a Friday and by Sunday I thought we were in the clear. We had a few friends over that brought store bought cookies and cupcakes with artificial dye, and I let Ellis enjoy some. The next day she was vomiting with a migraine. As bummed as we were, she’s definitely still on board to keep going with the infusions and really thinks they’re helping. Next month we’re going to avoid dyes all together and avoid as much sugar as possible for up to 5 days after her 2nd dose just to be on the safe side. I’m just so proud of this girl and in awe of her strength and resilience!

Sweet Grace and her best friend Libby made Ellis homemade cookies and brought them over to her with this sweet note!

I’m so thankful I’m able to stay home, not only so I can be there for Ellis, but also so I can go to all of the daytime school events for the boys. Brooks had his UIL performance at a local high school and I was bursting with pride. His school did so good. We weren’t allowed to film the second part, but after this performance on stage they moved the kids to the band classroom where they gave them a sheet of music they’d never seen before, and they had to perform in front of judges. After handing them the sheet the judges set an 8 minute timer for their teacher to go over the music with them. Once the timer was up, they had to perform. It was nerve wracking and my heart was pounding for them, but they did AMAZING!
I gave up my gym membership because I’ve started working out at home with Ellis, and instead I got a Skin Bar membership. My huge pores have always been a huge insecurity of mine, and I figured it was about time I start taking care of my skin. I got my first micro needling done and I’m obsessed!

Pain is beauty baby!

A little belated GALentines dinner with the baseball crew as well as a couple of bday celebrations!

This pretty lady turned 50!

Our resident picture taker, Robyn, put together this amazing photo book for Brandy from all of us! Soooooo many years of fun memories together!

Champagne Bombs to cheers our friendship!

Happy birthday Robyn (59 years young) and Brandy (the big 5-0)!

The lady in the pink suit next to me, Jen, is a wonderful new addition to our little crew. She’s recently divorced and her son is good friends with a lot of our boys. She hasn’t been around since the coach pitch baseball days, but she fits right in!

The original 9!

The last ladies standing that shut down the place! I treasure these GALs!!

50 and fabulous!!

My honorary other daughter, Grace, had a cheer comp in town, so of course I had to go cheer her on!

They killed it and hit zero (no mistakes), as the kids say these days!
Ran into another daughter of a dear friend! Loved getting to support these girlies! Ellis was supposed to come too, but she started have anxiety about the noise. We’ll get her back to enjoying all the things hopefully one day soon.

I’ve been telling Nancy for years that Grace was born to be a cheerleader! I’m so glad she finally joined a team! Love my Gracie Girl!

Sunday Funday with our friends! Adam smoked a brisket!

Ellis and I have been binge watching the show Gilmore Girls together. It came out in the year 2000 and is the sweetest most wholesome show about a mom and her daughter. A friend recommended it and I’m so thankful she did. I’m loving every minute of watching this show with Ellis and will be so sad when we finish it. There are 7 season and we are already halfway through season 4.

The theme song is our favorite!
Ellis crochets a lot while we watch the show! Doesn’t get any better than that!

Reason #5 trillion I love being a stay at home mom…I got to go to Shep’s field trip at the art museum on the SMU campus!

Shep with his best buddy, Ben!

Shep kept raising his hand to answer questions and I was seriously impressed with his insightfulness!

Loves him!

How adorable are my parents! They celebrated 58 years of marriage on February 25th! So thankful and so blessed!

Ellis got a new wig and this time instead of taping or gluing it down she got to clip it to her existing hair! We celebrated with Starbucks and sat outside to enjoy the gorgeous day!

Silly girl was entertaining me with her dances!

I didn’t take any pics of our “Friday Fun Day” earlier but we ended it with dinner at Texas Roadhouse (Ellis’ new favorite restaurant)! Adam had a late flight and wasn’t getting in until after dinner, so we had to take advantage since he’s way too bougie and refuses to go to such a low grade steakhouse, lol.

Our view…

Their view!

Ended February with Shep’s first baseball tournament of the season! Last day of February was on a Saturday and tournament ended on Sunday, so you’ll have to wait until next months post to see how they did! I will leave you with this bomb he hit at one of the Saturday games…
