September was a breath of calm fresh air after our exhilarating but non stop summer. Well, except for the house still being under construction….

It’s absolutely insane how much damage one little clogged toilet can do. On the bright side though, I’m so thankful we repaired it the right way, so I could have peace of mind about no mold!
Brooks had been fighting a nasty cough and tons of drainage for over a month, so I finally took him to the Dr. Turns out he had a sinus infection and although he was released to go back to school that day, he asked if we could go to the movies instead. You bet this cool mom took him up on that offer! We had the best Mommy/Brooks day!

Fresh haircut and baseball cards to end our day!

I will never get over how our cat/dog Oreo lays, lol

This brave girl had her 3rd infusion and absolutely rocked it!

She has been doing so good and we finally started to see a subtle shift in her anxiety and OCD after a very tough summer. She had a very mild and very delayed reaction to this infusion, so we started to feel so hopeful.

Brooks had his very first cross country meet and he ran his little heart out!

Love the bond these three have formed!

Student lead prayers before the meet warm my heart!

Let’s go Cockrill Cross Country!
Ready, set……

….GO!!!!!!
Only Brooks runs with a smile on his face!

Love him so much!

He finished strong in the top half, running two miles in just under 16 minutes!
Way to go, Brooks!

His buddy Nolan is a stud and received a medal for finishing in the top 10 (out of almost 200 runners)!!!

We have a ceiling, yay!!

Prettiest sight I ever did see!!!!! Soooooooooo thankful to have our living room back after almost a month!

This girl and her flexibility just amazes me!

Brooks decided to play for the Pirates again for the fall. They’re playing in a 13u AA league with 8 regular season games and a few tournaments, so he gets lots of playing time! Coaching is not as elite, but it’s a great little team with some really great kids!

Brooks is killing at catcher and hitting lots of bombs!
Shep had so much fun at his 4th grade fun run!

All the players on his rec baseball team that he goes to school with!

I love you too, Shep!

Cross Country meet number two!

Brooks finished in the top half again and improved his time by almost two minutes!
The Three Musketeers!

Awwwwww, they do love each other!!

We have floors!!

Race 3 for the 3 musketeers!

Run, Brooksy, run!

No way was he going to let his team mate beat him!
Crazy story….Adam was out of town (of course) and my car all the sudden wouldn’t start after dropping Brooks off at his early morning practice just 10 minutes before.

Thank goodness for AAA

The story is crazy because it just so happened to be the annual “See You at the Pole” day, and I was planning on taking Shep since it looked like it was about to poor down rain. We were barely going to make it in time after having to drop Brooks off, and then my car wouldn’t start. Shep decided to risk the chance of rain and ride his bike. I loved that he wanted to do that, but thought he would still miss the entire prayer, as we don’t live super close to the school and it would take him some time to ride his bike….

….well, NOT TODAY SATAN! Chance of rain and stalled car couldn’t stop him from making it to the prayer!!!

Brooks had his beginning of year district band concert, where he got to play with the entire district at the big football stadium!

Percussion is so cool because you get to play multiple instruments!

He made it on the big screen and on the facebook page!

All 3 of the McKinney high schools and all 5 of the Middle Schools played together and formed this giant M!

So cool!!

Gand Finale of all 8 schools in the district playing together!
Brooks with some of his 8th grade percussion buddies!

Finally made it to Oktoberfest in downtown McKinney!

Love our little town!

When at a fest of course you have to get funnel cakes!
Shep is playing on a double header select league that also plays a few tournaments AND also plays in a rec league with school buddies, so he is busy, busy, busy!

Collecting that bling!

RBI
Bathrooms are FINALLY finished and they turned out awesome!

4th and final Cross Country meet before areas and districts!

3 musketeers!

Top half finisher again!

Ellis joined this social group at school called “The Spirit Wranglers”. They attend the football games and cheer in the stands.

We had so much fun making these overalls!

They turned out absolutely adorable!

Birthday dinner with my besties for the big 44!

Blessed with the best!

We never have any fun together, lol!

The morning of my actual birthday had the most beautiful sunrise! I had to roll the window down and snap a pic on the way home from dropping Brooks off at his early morning cross county practice

Thank you, Jesus, for this beautiful gift!

I got to spend my actual birthday taking Ellis and her friend to their first football game for the Spirit Wranglers!

Brooks and his buddy were there too and refused to sit with us moms, lol

Picked up fast food on the way home from the football game and came home to these surprise gifts from Adam wrapped in Christmas paper, and I honestly can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday! Still can’t believe I’m 44! So many blessings and so much to be grateful for!
