January

Kids couldn’t wait to try out their new scooters at this amazing skate park right by our house!

Of course Shep had no fear and just went for it!

Ended the Holiday Break celebrating my tennis teammates 40th birthday in Fort Worth! These were my awesome and so much fun roomies for the night!

Megan, Allison, Anne Marie, and me! We all play tennis together!

First up was the famous Joe T. Garcia’s for dinner!

Fran (in the green) is the birthday girl!

That’s 30+ friends that showed up during the holiday break to celebrate the amazing Fran!

After dinner we hit up Billy Bob’s for the Josh Abbott band concert!

All the girls from our tennis team that made it to Billy Bob’s

Love me some Josh Abbot Band!

Roomies!

Roomies + Fran!

We didn’t have any fun at all, lol!

Boys (not Ellis) finally went back to school after the long holiday break, and my tennis team got together (again) for lunch to celebrate Morgan’s (in light pink) birthday this time!

Boys were only back in school for two days when a big snow storm came through!

Shep couldn’t wait to get outside and start building a snowman!

Oreo’s first time in the snow, and of course he loved it!!

Went to Nancy’s house to attempt to build a bigger snowman with our friends, but couldn’t lift the giant snowballs, lol

So pretty!

Driving veeeeery slow through our beautiful neighborhood…..

…..to the school park, to play on the hill with more friends!

Shep and Ben

Ellis and Meredith

5th Grade girls!

Brooks attempting to snowboard on the sled Santa was so smart to bring them this year for Christmas! I promise he wasn’t hurt after his wipeout in the end…

Right after this picture we were taken out by a bunch of middle school girls sledding down the hill, lol

Little boys!

Big Boys (and a photobomber, lol)

We spent 3 hours playing on that hill!

Loves him!

Meredith had a sleepover and Ellis was able to get Mia to come out of her shell while Meredith videoed. I thought Ellis would lose interest in her hermit crabs, but Mia and Faith have proven to be the perfect pets for her!

Woke up to more snow the next day!

Jumping on the trampoline is impossible when it’s covered in snow, lol

Headed back to the hill for another full day of fun with friends!

My favorites!

Wilmeth Snow Bunny Mommas!

Too cool for school 5th grade girls

The sun came out and the snow quickly turned into a slushy mud pit, but that didn’t stop the boys from having a blast!

Brooks finally landed the jump!

How many boys can you pile onto one sled??

Day 3 and the snow hadn’t melted yet, so Shep had to build one last snowman!

Boys returned to school again on Monday and I went into full on purge, clean, and organize mode for the entire week. This is one of two piles of straight trash, broken and old junk, that Adam took to the dump. I also loaded the back of my car with donations. It’s insane how much we got rid of and yet still feel like we have soooooo much crap!

We got a new dog!!

J/K….This little cutie got his first haircut and we had no idea how spotted he was! He looks like a Dalmatian, and I love it so much I think I’ll keep him trimmed! He’s not supposed to shed, but he does, and this definitely helps with that!

Brooks joined a new basketball team this season and they are undefeated little ballers! It’s all boys from his middle school, but none from his elementary. Brooks averages about one basket per game (which is huge at this age), and he’s even gotten a few rebounds and a few assists! We all went out to eat after one of his games!

Apparently February is a popular month for birthdays! Celebrated these two beauties who share the same birthday at this adorable new restaurant. Natalie turned 40 and Aissa turned 41!

Wilmeth Momma Crew!

My favorites!

This is where Ellis meets with her teacher, Mrs. Wilson, twice a week for two hours at a time (in our dining room), usually from 3:30-5:30. This opportunity and resource has been such a HUGE blessing for her. Although she misses her friends, this is the least disruptive path for her right now and keeps her on track with her school work. Mrs. Wilson also sends her a checklist every week on her school computer with lots of classwork for her to do on her own. I seriously cannot express enough what a blessing this truly is and how grateful we are for the schools support.

Ellis has lots of free time during the day, so we figured out some extra curriculars she was interested in to keep her busy. She decided she wanted to take violin lessons!

I love that she gets to take the lessons during the day when everyone else is in school!

Ellis also decided she wanted to take Western Horseback riding lessons! I couldn’t think of two more perfect extra curricular activities for her. Music and animals! Two wonderful outlets for anxiety, and right up her alley! We found a farm called Buckley Farms about 30 minutes from our house, in Anna. Ellis fell in love immediately just like I knew she would!

Ellis at her second lesson already looks like a little Cowgirl pro!

She’s already trotting all on her own!!

This stable has over 40 horses, some they own, and some they are just leasing stables to. She doesn’t have one particular horse she rides, but a few they typically use for new riders. The first brown horse she rode is named Shorty and this white horse is Chancy!

Turning the horse in a circle is a skill she learned at this lesson…

I’ve learned there are two types of horse riding competitions, Western and English. English is the one where they do the jumps and wear the high boots over the tights. Western is where they learn to control the horse more for different purposes…corralling, barrel racing, roping, etc. Ellis is learning Western for now, but might eventually get into English. They said it’s easier to go from Western (more technical) to English than vice versa.

There are dogs all over this farm, which of course Ellis loves, but this stable dog is the best!

Ellis is also learning how to groom and saddle the horses…

The horses always get treats after each lesson!

This handsome prince celebrated his first birthday on 1/28!

We absolutely celebrated him!

And sang him Happy Birthday with dog treats!

Happy birthday, Oreo! You are the perfect mix of naughty and nice, and fit right into this crazy Dimmick family!

I will leave you with these hilarious pics of my little helper! I’m trying to take better care of Ellis’ wigs, and Shep puts them on so it’s easier for me to add oil to them. He’s done this for me several times. It’s a bit of a joke now, and I finally remembered to take pics, hehe!

Isn’t he pretty, lol? This is his “blue steal” pose…
