I’m not going to lie, I was not overly excited about this free incentive work trip Adam qualified for. He didn’t find out about it until the month before, so I didn’t have a lot of time to prepare. I also felt a little greedy since we just went to Hawaii in April, and we both also felt so guilty asking our families to watch the kids again. I’m also not a huge fan of Cabo. It’s beautiful, don’t get me wrong, but I hate that it’s too dangerous to get in the ocean at most of the resorts. We got to see a whole new side of Cabo on this trip though, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

It blows my mind that we can wake up at the crack of dawn to drop the kids off at school and then be having lunch with this view just a few hours later!

I’ve never seen iguanas beg for food like these guys did- it was crazy!
We stayed at the Fiesta Americano Resort, which was a much older resort. We were honestly a little disappointed, but I mean, we can’t complain too much on a free trip!

Instead, we made the most of it and splurged on some fancy dinners outside of the resort. My friend recommended this restaurant called “Sunset Mona Lisa”. Apparently, people make reservations over a year out for this place, so I have NO idea how we got in, and at sunset none the less?? This was by far the most gorgeous restaurant I’ve ever eaten at.

We had the perfect view of the famous “Cabo Arch” and the sunset was just stunning!
They even offer professional photos, but how amazing are these free ones our waiter took?!?

There’s the arch!

And that breathtaking sunset!

Just before the sun actually sets all the waiters stop what they’re doing and blow on these conches. It was so calming and beautiful!

I wish I would’ve been fast enough to catch this on video, but they lit my drink on fire to reveal that cute little flower! I had no idea they were going to do that when I ordered the drink!

Pictures could never capture how beautiful the sunset was with the sound of the ocean waves and calming music in the background!

Adam’s steak came out on its own mini charcoal grill!

Very first thing the next morning I got to enjoy a relaxing massage, compliments of Adam’s company!

After my relaxing morning massage, Adam decided to make another splurge and booked us a room at this boutique hotel his friend HIGHLY recommended and insisted we visit. It was in the town of Todos Santos (about an hour north of Cabo). We took a cab to the remote Hotel San Cristobal– a 32 room adults only secluded resort that was started by a renowned chef! This hotel was worth every single penny!

We practically had the entire resort and beach to ourselves! Apparently August is their off season!
AND….you could get in the water there! The undertow was a bit scary, but no rocks!

It was so serene and truly a little slice of paradise!

The fishermen would literally speed ride these boats right up on the beach to dock them.

Our room had the most incredible ocean view with a private open outdoor shower. The open shower and proximity to the beach made for an authentic ocean waves sound soother all night long!
The freshest and best fish tacos I’ve ever eaten!

Not only is the seafood fresh, they also have a garden on site to burn a bowl of fresh rosemary near you while you eat to keep the flies away!
I thought the sunset at the restaurant we went to in Cabo was gorgeous, but this one from our very own balcony takes the cake!

Of course we had to eat at the restaurant of the renowned chef!

Morning coffee with a view– yes please!

Just when I thought this hotel couldn’t get any more perfect, I found the most adorable library on site! I was in heaven!

Breakfast of champions!

Soaking in this view for as long as possible before we head back to Cabo!

Take me back!
We made a pit stop in town for lunch before the hour long cab ride back. Even the town is adorable!

The highly recommended Oystera for lunch was yummy!

Back to Fiesta Americano to shower and get ready and then we splurged offsite again and had dinner at the Waldorf!

Dinner on an ocean side cliff was a whole vibe!

The waves were very close to splashing the tables near the edge– which I heard happens often, but it’s all a part of the experience!
The company resort was seriously not that bad, but I LOVE, love, love that we got to explore Cabo and Todos Santos on this trip!

Adam played golf our last day with people from his company while I relaxed on the beach for hours! I might not have been able to get in the ocean, but I still got to listen to the sound of the waves while enjoying my favorite hobby!

Farewell dinner provided by his company included fire dancers!

Cabo and Todos Santos really were paradise! I would definitely go back! Beyond grateful for this man that has given and shown me the world, and I sure do love exploring it with him!

Tip of the iceberg for this AMAZING trip was getting bumped up to First Class for my very first time ever! It’s hard to tell but I had sooooo much room to sit Indian style!

And oh my goodness, the mixed nuts were warm! Best nuts I’ve ever had in my life!

Say what?!?! I seriously had no idea first class got meals on a 2.5 hour flight?!?!?

I will leave you with this video of the boys being goofballs and wrestling on the trampoline with the authentic Lucho Libre wrestling masks we brought home to them as souvenirs 😂
