Almost every Dimmick trip starts out with a bang and our 2024 Hundl Family Frio River trip was no exception. It was Ellis’ turn to forget her Crocs, lol. Pit stop to Target for the rescue!

Sisters and mom shots are always a must when we first arrive!

Kids immediately jumped in the pool and adults (and teens) immediately started in on the washers.

This kid and his sleeping habits crack me up!

Love them and so grateful they found this gem of a place and started our family tradition all those years ago!

Surprise fireworks show in our front yard on the 5th was an unexpected and fun little perk!

Ellis has never been my hugger or cuddle bug, but she’s ALWAYS loved sitting on her Daddy’s lap! I pray that never ever changes!

Tyler was “King of the Pool”. Makes me happy when I see the teenagers playing with the littles!

This is what summer is all about– lazy days with family, swimsuits, sun, snacks and games!

It’s shot o’clock!

The sunset was so gorgeous!

Perfect weather this year for Peco’s and the Rooftops at the House Pasture!

Of course we got a late start after the late night concert and climbed Old Baldy right smack dab in the middle of the day!

It’s ALWAYS worth it in the end though!

The cool and deep water at Pebble Beach was the perfect reward for our hard work!

Who’s the cutest couple???

My vote is for these guys!

Or these hotties!

Why oh why do ALL THREE of our kiddos have to be daredevils?!? Just kidding, I love it!

Memaw and Papa Joe with their favorite grandkids, lol!

Gangs all here! You’re welcome family for always insisting on taking this pic!

💙💙

Our last full day started out with a little bit of rain (of course it did), unfortunately, not enough for us to be able to float the river this year! The river access by the house was way too low this year too, but we still made the most of it!

Rainy day games for the win!

Sun finally came out in the afternoon so we could enjoy some more time at Pebble Beach!

They did this a million times with no success, but Ellis finally made the jump!

Daddy was not happy, but Brooks made it to the tippy top of the tree for the first time! Mommy was proud!

We told Ellis she can go to the top of the tree next year…

How many boys can you fit on one rope swing? The answer is 5…Tyler, Brayden, Kason, Jackson, and Brooks!
Trying to avoid the rain, lol

Love my Sissy’s!

Last jump of the year!

Sugar time!

Chilling back at the house and practicing for the annual couples washer tournament!

Dorks!

Silly boys!

Just what he needs….more sugar!!!

Prettiest little cowgirl I ever did see!

Presenting your 3 time unstoppable winners!! We let the Jarmon’s borrow the trophy last year, but I made it clear to Adam, “no shenanigans or left handed playing” anymore!!!

Fore’s put up a good fight!

Poor Jodie tried to come up with some fun games for the kids, but they’re still just a smidge too competitive/immature, and by they, I mean Ellis, lol

Annual LCR game is always a hit though!

And thank goodness Ellis finally won this year!

Game playing might have been the hi light of the trip for me this year!

I have NO idea how these two used to camp with us 5 girls and our friends in a pop up and tents back in the day. It’s still A LOT of work with the 24 of us in a beautiful and huge air conditioned house, but nothing like what they used to do! I’m so grateful they continued it year after year though. So many of my favorite childhood memories are on the Frio! I remember our parents asking us if we’d rather take a trip anywhere else, and every summer we’d all say, “absolutely not”! This year we asked our kids that same question and their answer was exactly the same as ours! There’s just something so special about the Frio, and it holds such a BIG piece of my heart!
