Spring Season sports have officially begun and we’re already moving full steam ahead. The very first weekend Adam and I had to divide and conquer. Brooks had his first tournament at the Rocker B Ranch up by our lake house in Possum Kingdom. Adam went with him while I stayed back to take Shep to his first tournament in McKinney and Ellis to her gymnastics meet in Tyler (2 hours away) on Sunday.
Brooks left school on Friday and drove two hours to the lake to catch at his very first game with his new team at 8:30pm!

Two of his buddies from his old team are on his new team, and their families stayed with Adam and Brooks at our lake house!

Introducing the 11U Canes Team!

Stud Brooks also plays outfield!

After their games on Saturday the team went back to the air bnb’s most of them rented and got to hang out and bond!

Crazy boys all jumped in the lake at some point!

A super talented mom made this reel from the weekend, and I’m so thankful she did, since Shep, Ellis, and I had to miss out on all the fun….
Saturday morning I got to see this stud pitch for the first time ever in a real game! I don’t think I’ve ever been so nervous!

He threw a lot of strikes and did pretty good for an 8 year old playing with a bunch of 9 year olds!
He even got a hit into left field!
I love Ellis and all of her ‘friends’ imaginations! They built this fort in the back yard!

They even hung flashlights to the ceiling and made a table out of cardboard to eat their pizza dinner on!

Sunday was Ellis’ 3rd gymnastics competition in Tyler, TX (2 hours away), and it didn’t start until 5pm! Her first event was vault. Not her best, but she hates vault.
Next was beam and I think she did pretty good! A little shaky, but she didn’t fall!
Third was bars, and she nailed them!
Last was the floor– her favorite!

She placed 5th for bars!

And her team won first place again for the 3rd meet in a row!

Ellis with her sweet teammate Zoey! We carpooled with her and didn’t get home until almost 11pm with school the next day. Of course I let Ellis skip, lol!

This handsome boy was a judge for the mock trial during his gifted class!

Speaking of sports being in full swing, I had my very first tennis match!

We lost, but I had fun and I only double faulted on my serves once!

I just need a minute to brag on how proud I am of Ellis. She got up in front of the whole school to perform at the talent show for the second year in a row! She choreographed an entire routine for 4 kindergarteners and a first grader to “Shake it Off” by Taylor Swift. Unfortunately, you can’t play music in YouTube videos because of copyright laws, so the video is silent, but you can still see the adorable routine she made up….

Look at her rocking it with her hat!! SOOO proud!

Brooks choreographed an awesome wrestling routine (with a fake card board table and everything) for the Dimmick, Stolarski, and Smith boys, but apparently you can’t “fight” at the talent show (fake or not), so they changed it up last minute to a glow in the dark stick man dance routine!

Again the video is silent (because of stupid copyright), and their lights kept turning off, but they were a HUGE hit and got some of the loudest cheers from the audience!
This was Brooks and Sheps first ever talent show, and I was so proud of them too!

Grand Finale (silent video again), where all the acts come out on the stage one last time!
Max was so excited to see his buddy perform!

Couldn’t find Ellis after the show, but snapped a pic of these two cute brothers!

Had brunch with my “Favorite Wilmeth Mommas” after the show!

Then I met up with my tennis team to hang out because our match got rained out!

Friday was the start of our spring break and the Dimmick and Stolarski boys got to go to the live WWE Friday Night Smackdown show in Dallas!

Randy Orton, and….

THE ROCK was there!!!!!!!!!

Such a cool surprise guest apperarance!
While the boys were at wrestling the girls were at a “fancy” steak dinner!

Besties and besties!

Of course we had to finish our girls night off with some yummy dessert!

Saturday we headed up to the lake for the first half of our spring break!
The weather was perfection!

It was a very chill few days with puzzles…

Sunset pics…

And then we ended our trip with our first ever whole family game of Mexican Train! The kids fought me on playing this, but everyone loved it and can’t wait to play again the next time we go to the lake! It was the perfect start to our pretty amazing spring break! Spring Break Part 2 coming up next…
