Christmas and New Years

Now that I covered almost the whole month of December, it’s time to dive into Christmas, New Years, and the rest of the Holiday break…

Ellis helped with the very last day of the advent puzzle!

All done! Isn’t she pretty?!?

Christmas Eve candlelight service where we all get to go to “big” church together is always my favorite! And Shep still can’t sit still long enough for a non blurry pic when using the flash, lol.

After church we got to meet this cutie, Boaz! Breea’s family got a new adorable golden retriever pup!

Next Christmas Eve tradition- decorating cookies for Santa…

….then getting to open one gift!

I can’t believe I didn’t take any more pics the rest of the night, but we switched up our traditional pizza dinner for a delicious steak and potato dinner, and then cuddled up on the couch to watch a Christmas movie! This year we watched Home Alone again!

Santa came!!!!

Brooks’ big Santa gifts were a new baseball bag and bat and a ticket to the water park at Universal!

Ellis’ big Santa gifts were a Stanley cup and a new trampoline!

Shep’s big Santa gifts were a gizmo watch and drum set!

Excited kiddos bright and early on Christmas morning ready to see what Santa brought! Gosh I don’t want them to grow up!

I can just feel the excitement in their bellies!

Shep LOVED his drums!

He’s a natural!

I think the $20 Baseball cards in his stocking were his favorite gift!

The trampoline was definitely Ellis’ favorite gift that she waited not so patiently for Daddy to put together and had a minor meltdown after she realized she’d have to “share” her big gift with her brothers.

The kids were so excited to give Daddy the gifts they made for him in school this year!

Love this big chaotic mess!

Of course we had to show off all of our gifts to our BFF’s!

Shep and his faces crack me up!

A cute boy from Ellis’ class dropped off a sweet gift for her on our front porch…

They’re just friends and of course he’s already annoying now, but it was pretty adorable while it lasted, lol!

“Her” trampoline is finally set up and she’s in heaven!

Annual Christmas Day dinner with our FRamily- the Plums…

There Shep goes again with his faces, lol

The day after Christmas we woke up bright and early and drove straight to Houston to celebrate Christmas with the Dimmick side! Love spending time with Papaw, especially Brooks!

Aunt Lesley is so fun!

Ellis has spent hours on this puzzle, every time we go to Aunt Kelly’s house, and she FINALLY figured it out!

The 27th we celebrated Christmas with the Hundl side. We started out by taking the professional pics we gifted our parents for Christmas! That’s one big, beautiful, and blessed family!

Scarlett and her family joined us at the lake for New Years too!

Max and Bowen were fast friends!

Poor Cristin wasn’t feeling well. All of our allergies were going crazy.

Happy New Year!!!!

Only a handful of us made it to midnight again this year….me, Jodie, Ellis, Carolina, and Brooks!

Worked on this beauty all weekend and there were 3 missing pieces, grrrrrr.

Brooks launching his super sonic rocket he got for Christmas on the golf course

Our Holiday break went all the way to January 9th, so after we got home from the lake we still had to entertain the kiddos for almost a week. We took them to see Wonka with friends, and it was so good!

Love this little cuties style!

Next up…Ninja Nation!

Then Walls of Clay pottery painting studio for the girls….

….and Arcade 92 for the boys!

Lots of playing in the neighborhood “secret” woods aka “the mud” with friends….

Happy 40th Birthday Morgan!

And lots and lots of play dates and even a sleepover with friends!

I will leave you with the BIGGEST change and New Year’s resolution we made for 2024- as a family we decided to go gluten and dairy free! We cleaned out the pantry and fridge and got rid of all of this junk….

…And replaced it with this ridiculously expensive “healthiER” food. The kids threw fits and moaned and groaned (and so did I) at first, but we are two weeks in now and I’m proud of us! If anything, we’ve eaten WAY less fast food! Hoping and praying we can keep this up during the ridiculously busy baseball season 🤞….
