Let me start off by saying how much I absolutely love this kid. He is the so darn cute and lovable, but man can he drive us bonkers sometimes. He is ALL boy through and through and the definition of the “baby” of the family. We were halfway to Houston when we stopped for a potty break at a gas station, and that’s when Shep suddenly realized he forgot his shoes, SMH.

After getting stuck in tons of traffic and 6 hours of driving, my parents so graciously let Adam and I go to dinner by ourselves while they watched the kids for us! Cheers to that!
We woke up bright and early the next morning and headed to Galveston with Memaw and the Jarmon’s for our yearly summer tradition…

Papa Joe stayed back and sent us these adorable videos that were cracking the kids up. I don’t know why some of them are blurry, but I just had to save them, lol…

Of course we had to ride the ferry over to the Bolivar Peninsula!

And of course we had to feed the seagulls bread!

Finally made it to the beach right around lunch time!

Daddy came with us for the first time this summer!

The kids spent the majority of the time playing in the sand/mud….

This kite has lasted 3 summers strong now!

I love the ocean! I swear the salt water has healing powers!

Girl Power!!!!!!

Love them…

…and her…

…and him…

…and especially him!!!

Spotted some dolphins on the ferry ride back!
Made a trip to the strand and stopped by La King’s–– duh!

Memaw is the best!

The whole gang!

For the first time ever, we decided to stay overnight in Galveston. We stayed at the San Louis, which was way more beautiful than I imagined!

View from our top floor balcony suite! I had no idea the kids had never see the ocean from this vantage point. They were amazed by its vastness!

We had a late night reservation at the steakhouse in the hotel, but they were swamped and it was taking forever to be seated. We decided to just go back to our room and order room service. This girl was living her best life eating breakfast for dinner in a robe on the floor of our suite!

Not a bad morning view. I don’t care what anyone says, I 💜 Galveston! This beach brings back lots of great memories!

Next stop was our very first trip to NASA!

Standing in line for a virtual reality ride…

Daddy sat this one out and Mommy took one for the team. It was cool, but hot as heck on this ride

We got to meet a real live astronaut, Michael Foreman, who also happens to be the mayor of Friendswood. He was hilarious and it was awesome getting to hear his stories and see his pics and videos from his launch to the space station!

On the tram ride to tour the space center….

So cool!

Ellis pretending to hold up the moon…

Yep, I’m a sucker for professional pics! I’m so glad after all my years of living in Houston I FINALLY made it out to NASA. We all really enjoyed it there, especially Brooks! Who knows, we might have a future Astronaut on our hands…

After NASA we drove to the Stroems house to visit with Grandma and Pawpaw!

And Kelly, Lesley, and Christian too!

Liam is officially taller than me!

The boys had a sleepover with their cousins and had the best time!

Last stop on our trip was to the Astros Game!

The boys….

🧡🧡

…and the girls, lol!

We went to the game to celebrate this guy turning 77 years young!

Papa Joe was mad at Memaw for taking too long to buy food, lol

🧡💙

Such a fun stadium with so much entertainment!

Joanne made these signs for us to hold up, and we even made it on the Jumbotron!!!!

We’re famous!

These two were cracking me up with their selfies…

Get in my belly!

Oh my heart! I just love them!

And them too 💙🧡

Jackson caught the shirt and then it bounced out of his hands…
BIGGEST Astros fans and so excited to be there!

Shep and Bowen were in absolute heaven! When we walked in Shep kept smiling and saying “everyone looks like us!” He was in awe of all the Astros shirts, lol. We don’t see a lot of them in Dallas.

Post game pics while standing in line to run the bases…

Ellis was thrilled to take this pic with Mickey, lol…

And they’re off to run the basses…

Totally worth standing in line for 45 minutes!

It was definitely a jam packed, but AMAZING unforgettable weekend with so many core memories made to! Go ‘Stros!
