Kalahari

Adam got home from his 5 night golf trip late Sunday night and then the kids and I left early Monday morning to go to Kalahari in Round Rock (the largest indoor water park in the U.S.). Unfortunately, the Arguijo’s were in Colorado and couldn’t meet us at this waterpark that is literally 2 minutes from their house. Also, “Poor” Daddy had a golf trip of a lifetime and then got the house to himself for 2 nights, lol! My friend, Breea, found a great deal at Kalahari for two week nights, and invited a few of us to go as a “mom and kids” vacation, since her hubby had to work. It ended up being the “Brunch Babes” (me, Breea, Nancy and Laura), and our 12 kids! We each have 2 boys and a girl, so it was perfect! CRAAAAAAZY–– but fun!

4 adults wrangling and carrying luggage for 12 kids is not for the faint of heart…

We earned these shots!

Love my BFF!!

Dang that’s A LOT of kids! Put our luggage in our rooms and headed straight to the water park! Going on a M/T/W was key. The lines weren’t too long and the clientele was nice!

Big boys racing down the slide…

The cute girls!

The cute girls and cute Ben!

These two are so sweet together ♥️

It was impossible to keep up with all the kids and stay together, so we had to divide and conquer a lot!

Caught Shep doing a little light reading after dinner….

Not only does Kalahari have a ginormous indoor water park, it also has a ginormous arcade with several roller coasters, rock walls, skyline obstacle course, wall of mirrors, 4D movie theater, laser tag, etc., etc. As exhausted as we were from traveling and spending hours in the water park, we just couldn’t miss out on all the resort had to offer…

At first we were the only crazy ones to go out after 9m, but then the Stolarski’s decided YOLO and joined us!

How cute are they??!!

Shep was cracking me up in the wall of mirrors

These two were the only ones tall enough to ride the spinning wheel at the front of the roller coaster…

Ellis and Shep were too short to ride this without an adult, so I got to ride it with them several times–– yippee!! I’ve definitely channeled the childhood thrill seeker in me as the kids have gotten older!

The arcade games were extra (of course), so we told the kids we’d buy them a card on the last day IF they were good. Connor and Shep still found a way to play a few games, lol…

Stayed up until midnight and then woke up bright and early the next morning. This was the view from our hotel room window…

Cute girls stole a few minutes in the morning to play dolls!

First ride of the day….

We thought us mommas were going to get to hang out and relax while the kids took off and had fun–– ha! Us moms were right there with them, having the best time! I rode every single water slide in the park!

Wave surfing!

This ride was a crowd favorite! You get put in this enclosed tube standing up, and then the floor just disappears! It was SO exhilarating!

The moms got to sneak away to the swim up bar outside for a hot minute!

But then I was scolded by Ellis for going outside and not telling her (even though she was on a slide and I had no idea where she was–– how dare I do that!) I then had to carry the princess back inside since the ground was too hot for her feet, lol…

Finally found some of the boys…

It was a VERY rare occurrence, all 5 of us being together in the water park, so I had to document it with a pic!

I made them do one family ride with me after that pic!

Instead of trying to take 12 kids to dinner, we Door Dashed food and ate on the lobby balcony–– we’re pretty much genius’s!

Arcade time at night again!

Stayed up until midnight again and then woke up bright and early on our check out day and headed straight back to the arcade! The kids did NOT forget my promise to buy them a game card on our last day, lol…

Ellis and Shep also did the skyline obstacle course…

And Brooks did the rock walls!

Sweet girls!

Then they all 3 wasted a bazillion credits doing the hanging challenge, lol…

Had to squeeze in a few more rides at the water park…

And then it was time to leave and head back to McKinney

Kalahari, we ALL had so much fun!!! We will definitely be back!!

I will leave you with this adorable little photo shoot Ellis and Grace did with their dolls on our front porch when we got back in town. I was wondering why they were all dressed up and why Ellis asked to borrow my phone, lol. I just love them so much!!!
