Another Hundl Family summer Frio River trip is in the books and it did not disappoint! All 24 of us stayed in the same rental house for the third year in a row and even added an extra night. Our family and The Arguijo’s missed Memaw’s birthday and Father’s Day, so we gave them their gifts when we first got to the house…

We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and did a little night swimming….
…and back porch hanging our first night !
Breakfast time for the kids, while most of the parents are still sleeping, lol– thanks to the AMAZING early rising “breakfast crew” (aka AJ, Justin, and Mike)
These cuties lived in the pool when we were at the house…

We finally made it down to the river access in the neighborhood after lunch….

Then the Jarmon’s went on to take the championship trophy from the 2 time reigning champs (Adam and I)…
They’re such liars, I know they were thinking about this trophy all year long, lol

This was my view every morning while I sipped my coffee–– more power to them! One of these years I’ll hopefully join them…
After breakfast we all set out to float the river, but the parking lot and line to the bus was insanely packed. Us and the Arguijo’s wussed out while everyone else braved the chaos, which turned out to be not nearly as bad as we thought. Oh well–– Dimmick’s and Arguijo’s ended up at the candy shop…
Then we just went back to the house to swim. It was a very low key and chill day!

It was a scorcher of a Saturday night and by the time Kevin Fowler FINALLY took the stage, there was only a few of us left standing…

Sunday the river was WAY less crowded, so the Arguijo’s and Dimmick’s attempted the Hippy Hollow float everyone else did the day before!
And we’re off….
The water was of course low, so we had to walk about half of the float, but man was it gorgeous! I just LOVE this river!

Swim all day and play all night…
Our last full day we attempted to go into Garner State Park, but unfortunately, they were all sold out of day passes until 3pm. We decided to hang out at Neals to bide the time until we could get into Garner. I’d say the kids had a blast…
Daddy told them they couldn’t jump off the “big” rock, but you see how well that went over with our crazies, lol…
I hope and pray Adam and I are doing this exact same thing with our family at 76 and 77!

I wish there was a contraption that could safely put him in the water with the rest of us, I know he was burning up. Not that the water was super cool or anything, lol, but that Texas heat is no joke!
Finally made it into Garner to climb Old Baldy–– just in time for the hottest part of the day!
These two were on the struggle bus, lol…
We made it to the top!
We remembered to bring paint this year to tag our rocks before adding them to the pile!
